Ferris’s Room VR

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it." - F. Bueller, 1986.
In 2016 artist Sarah Keenlyside, friends with Pyramid Attack, built a life-sized recreation of Ferris Bueller’s bedroom as an art piece. Faithful down to the last detail, it was a smash hit wherever it was installed. But it proved to be cumbersome to put up, take down, ship and store, so Hollywood Suite, a group of specialty TV channels focusing on classic films, stepped in and asked PA to make a virtual reality recreation of Sarah’s recreation of the iconic room.

The result is a fully immersive space in which you can interact with Ferris’s stuff, like his keyboard, his TV and his baseball. There’s also a guided audio tour by Sarah herself telling us how she painstakingly sourced many of the props in the room.
